1. WHAT WE COLLECT

To play the game, we ask for:

• First name and last name (required)
• Email address (required)
• Cell phone number (optional)

During play we also record your game results (score, in-game outcomes, and the display name shown on the leaderboard — your first name and last initial). We do not collect payment information, and this site contains no advertising.

2. HOW WE USE IT

• To let you play and to show scores on the 30-day leaderboard.
• If you checked the email opt-in box: to send occasional emails about fire safety advocacy, public safety staffing, and new educational games. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.
• If you provided a phone number and checked the text message opt-in box: to send occasional informational and advocacy text messages about fire safety. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of playing this game or of any purchase.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your mobile number or text-messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

3. COOKIES

We use a small functional cookie / local browser storage for one purpose: so you don't have to fill out the sign-up form again on your next visit, and so your game progress and scores can be saved. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can clear the cookie at any time in your browser settings; you will simply be asked to sign up again.

4. WHERE YOUR DATA LIVES

Sign-up submissions are processed and stored by Netlify, our website hosting provider, and are accessible only to us. Leaderboard entries (display name and score) are stored on our host and are automatically pruned after 30 days.

5. YOUR CHOICES

• Unsubscribe from email at any time via the link in any email.
• Reply STOP to any text message to stop texts immediately.
• Email us at braden@moderncartographers.com to ask what we hold about you, or to request correction or deletion.

6. CHILDREN

This game is an educational resource intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. CHANGES

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we use your contact information will be communicated to you before they take effect.
